I’m Jess—Holistic Registered Dietitian

And I’m definitely not your typical registered dietitian.
Growing up, I was raised with my Pennsylvania Dutch grandparents, where food was everything—and it always came with plenty of butter and sugar. Compared to my thin older sister, I was the chubby kid and often reminded of it.
My grandparents faced numerous health issues, including congestive heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, and strokes, eventually leading to open-heart surgeries. It wasn’t surprising, given their lifestyle, but it was a wake-up call for me. I realized that if I followed the same path—combined with my genetics—I could end up facing the same health struggles later in life.
That realization ignited my passion for nutrition and health in my teenage years. I became fascinated with how the body works, got involved in sports, and embraced a healthier lifestyle. I discovered that food is medicine—it has the power to heal, energize, and transform our bodies.
With the right nutrition, exercise, and mindset, you can significantly reduce your risk of these diseases—regardless of your genetics.
This belief led me to Penn State University in 2009, where I pursued a career in nutritional sciences. My childhood experiences shaped my path, and today, I am a Holistic Registered Dietitian, committed to helping others take control of their health through sustainable, science-backed nutrition and lifestyle changes.
My career experience has spanned hospitals, pediatrics, and community health, but my true passion lies in one-on-one counseling—helping individuals create real, lasting change in a way that fits their unique body and lifestyle. I believe true health goes beyond just food; it involves nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, medical history, and mindset.
For the past four years, I’ve been running my private practice, helping hundreds of clients transform their health with comprehensive, personalized nutrition counseling. To make my services more accessible, I accept insurance, ensuring that more people can get the support they need to live healthier, happier lives.
Let’s take the guesswork out of nutrition—I’m here to help you feel your best, inside and out.
